Our Focus Now
Our major focus is upgrading the Centre Medical Emmanuel (CME) facility in Cayes-Jacmel, Haiti to support the growing health care needs of the community. The existing medical structure is outdated and is in dire need of costly improvements. We also have to pay special attention to the infrastructure to manage, maintain, and support that facility.
Since the 1970's, the CME, under the leadership of Dr. Brinson McGowan, has had a supportive relationship with Haitian-Diasporas living in the United States. Through this relationship the medical centre provides much needed medical attention to more than 300,000 citizens living in this impoverished rural Haitian communities. Dr. McGowan has solicited CAPASS to help renovate the existing CME facilities.
